First Day in Paris...

Well here we are !

The fights to and from HK were great... Jen and I did lots of sleeping and Jen is now a great fan of Cathay Pacific... On changing planes in HK we had to sit in an airport cafe listening to a live 3 piece band ... someone has to do it...then a tour of the shops.

We landed in Paris around 7:30am and caught the train in to Chatelet les Halles station... then popped out about 100 metres from our hotel (Hotel Pont Neuf).

We had booked the night before so we could go straight to our room, shower change and then out to a cafe 30 metres away for our first french brekkie.  It was tough but we suffered...mmmmmm

Then walked two blocks to Pont Neuf and across the Seine to the Ile de la Cite and found a cafe for lunch.

A visit to Notre Dame (good photos of the stained glass windows) and then back to our hotel for a jetlag snooze.

The evening we walked to the Louvre and then had a pedal cab ride back with our bicycle driver giving us some historical stuff in his broken english.

The weather is perfect ... about 25 during the day... clear skies...

Jen's french is going well ... talking with the waiter and he's understanding her so all good !

Today will be another tough day ... must be time for breakfast !
