Black Forest

Wow, here we are in Titisee a magnificent little town in in the heart of the Black Forest Germany.  We ended up here as Bob had been before but wasn't on our schedule, what a happy accident.  It is such a picturesque little town, so quaint and pristine. The photo below is a scene which we enjoy from our balcony.

 We have a room overlooking the lake which has electric boats for hire and of course row boats

 We have had the most divine cuisine at the restaurant below from which we enjoyed this beautiful vista. You can see why I love this place so much. My now new favourite place in the world.

 At night the lights are so pretty and this is what we see on our way back to our hotel.

 The weather is rather chilly and a refreshing change from Paris - which was just perfect anyhow.

 After dinner we came back to the piano bar in our hotel and enjoyed a personal concert by our new friend here who sang to us for about an hour or so as no one else stayed in the bar - what a waste of good talent. He was great and very entertaining. Also a bit of a comedian.

 We couldn't get over the view and periodically got up through the night to enjoy the view - as you can see below, why not you ask???

 The mist covered the lake this morning just before dawn.

So this is Bob and Jen doing it tough in the black forest - off to brekky and then a walk through town before heading for the train again to who knows where!!!
